SEAMANSHIP 4
THIS COURSE WILL INCLUDE SEVERAL TOPICS:
1. International Regulations, Standards, Codes and Recommendation of the carriage of dangerous good.
2. The ability to establish and maintain effective communications during loading and unloading.
3. Carriage of dangerous, hazardous and harmful cargoes, precautions during loading and unloading and care during voyage.
4. Knowledge of ship handling, storage and securing of cargoes, including dangerous, hazardous and harmful cargoes, and their effect on the safety of life and of the ship.
5. Understanding of the purpose of the "Enhanced Survey Programme".
6. General Knowledge of Tankers and Tanker Operations.
